Angelica sinensis or "Dong Quai" or "female ginseng" is an herb from the family Apiaceae, indigenous to China. The yellowish brown drying root of the plant is harvested in fall,and is commonly known in Chinese as Radix Angelicae Sinensis, or Chinese angelica,its used over thousands of years.

Dong quai is used for menopause vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes,etc .
